Lincolnshire YMCA Nurseries

We have two childcare facilities, YMCA Woodlands Daycare and in Lincoln and YMCA Beginnings Daycare in Gainsborough which operate from premises comprising of  age appropriate rooms and a secure outdoor area. Our Nurseries are open all year round, Monday to Friday from 8am until 6pm. All of our friendly staff hold relevant early years qualifications.

YMCA Woodlands Daycare follows the High Scope philosophy within its daycare.  The main focus of this is to encourage children’s independence and this is achieved by encouraging the children to participate in a plan-do-review process which allows them to make their own choices.  All of the toys and resources are out and available to the childten to access during work time.

OFSTED said  of YMCA Woodlands Daycare “children are happy and settled in the nursery because they receive plenty of staff attention and planned activities and experiences are appropriate to their needs.”

YMCA Beginnings Daycare in Gainsborough joined us in June 2009 and provides quality daycare for up to 50 babies, toddlers and pre-school children.

Our nurseries are registered for EYEE (Early Years Education Entitlement) which entitles three year olds to a two and a half hour nursery session per day for free.
